SECOND DAY: URBAN TREKKING DAY IN MACERATA FOR THE DISCOVERY OF THE ANCIENT CAPITAL OF PAPAL MARCA
The starting point is the San Giuliano cathedral, a neoclassical style church. After the route continues to the magnificent Basilica of Misericord, a jewel of XVIII century and Palazzo Buonaccorsi, where frescos inside its famous Eneide’s hall represent among the maximum masterpieces of the 17th century in Marche. The walking will end nearby the Lauro Rossi Theatre, which constitutes a refined example of late Baroque. The Macerata theatre, now named after the composer Lauro Rossi, represents the only and precious example of the Italian style of theatre in the Marches.
Trying the urban trekking can be a great experience and a great way to see another side of Macerata, using all your senses.

The restaurant is located within an historic villa, built in the late 18th century by a local nobleman, as a gentlemen’s residence to be used as a meeting place and refreshment stop for hunting parties.The restaurant is dedicated to the famous composer Gioacchino Rossini, who in 1853 wrote a sonnet entitled “Allegretto” for a celebrated harpist who lived in the villa.
Guests will have the opportunity to combine food with an unforgettable performance with professional singers and violinists excelling at touching distance!
